College Credit in High School
PSD high school students may take college courses to earn both high school and college credit at the same time. Students interested in taking classes should discuss options with their high school counselor.

PSD high school students may take college courses to earn both high school and college credit at the same time. Students interested in taking classes should discuss options with their high school counselor.
Benefits of taking college classes in high school include:
- Students take challenging courses in areas that align with their ICAP (Individual Career and Academic Plan)
- Students may finish college earlier because of earned college credits.
- Students may earn an associate's degree by the time they graduate from high school.
- Students who have earned 9 credit hours of concurrent enrollment classes may be eligible to take a fifth year of high school consisting of all college classes through the Ascent program.
Concurrent & Dual Enrollment Credit:
- Front Range Community College (Concurrent Enrollment Credit):High School Select, Campus Select, ASCENT. *PSD covers the cost of tuition. Students will need to cover the cost of books and fees.
- AIMS Community College: (Concurrent Enrollment Credit):High School Select, Campus Select, ASCENT. *PSD covers the cost of tuition. Students will need to cover the cost of books and fees. Please talk to your counselor if interested.
- CU Succeed (Dual Enrollment Credit): Students can earn credits through approved classes offered in high school and deemed equivalent in content and academics standards to courses taught on the CU Denver campus. Students enrolled in Dual Credit courses through CU Succeed will incur the full cost of tuition, fees, and books.
