2558 Select Treble Choir (Fossil Fusion)
Credits: 20
Prerequisites: Concert or Treble Choir, and audition and placement by choir instructors
Meets requirement(s): Fine & Applied Arts
Open to Grades: 10, 11 & 12
Membership in this choir is by audition or by permission of instructor. The choir performs treble choir literature of intermediate to difficult levels. The choir represents the school in the community and participates in music competitions. Students provide part of the performing outfit. At FRHS: Fossil Fusion is a show choir, which is a choir that performs vocal music with extensive choreography. Placement into Fossil Fusion is through audition with the Choir Director. Fossil Fusion performs various music from contemporary genres including Broadway, pop and more. Fossil Fusion performs at various events throughout the year that will require time outside of the school day. Attendance at all rehearsals and performances is required.

Open to Grades: 9, 10, 11 & 12
This is a non-select mixed choir. Choral literature of appropriate difficulty is performed in preparation for advanced musical study in select groups. This is a performing group and attendance at school concerts is required. At FRHS: Fossil Ridge Singers will perform repertoire of the highest quality, and will include the study of the vocal mechanism, music theory and history. Attendance at all rehearsals and performances is required.

Choirs perform in the community and at state functions. Students furnish a portion of performance outfit. At FRHS: SaberCat Singers will perform repertoire of the highest quality, and will include the study of the vocal mechanism, music theory and history. Placement into SaberCat Singers is through audition with the Choir Directors. SaberCat Singers perform at various events throughout the year that will require time outside of the school day. Attendance at all rehearsals and performances is required.

Prerequisites: Concert Choir or Treble Choir, Concurrent enrollment in another choir is required, and audition and placement by choir instructors

Placement into Tenth Bass is through audition with the Directors, and students must be a member of another choir. Tenth Bass performs various music from the contemporary Acapella and Pop genres. Tenth Bass performs at many events throughout the year that will require time outside of the school day. Attendance at all rehearsals and performances is required.
